Man United’s Rooney Predicts Three-Way Title Race
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes the title race will be contested between Sir Alex Ferguson’s men, Liverpool and Chelsea as he appeared to have written off Arsenal, who apparently face a challenge from Aston Villa for the top-four finish.
Rafa Benitez’s Reds are top of the table with Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Blues three points behind in the second place after 20 Premiership games. United are third with two games in hand and if the Red Devils win those they would close the gap on the leaders to just a point.
Arsene Wenger’s Gunners are fourth but Martin O’Neill’s Villa are tied on same number of points as the north-Londoners and have a game in hand.

"I think we are in a good position. We would have liked to have played those two matches in hand but we've got them to come," said England international Rooney.
"If we can get some good results in those games we would be in a really good position.
"You can never write Arsenal off and they are a good team and Aston Villa are doing well as well but in the end I think it will be down to one of the top three."
