According to Thierry Henry, Liverpool’s confidence that they can win the Premiership title this season must have certainly been boosted after their victories over defending champions Manchester United and formidable Chelsea.
The Reds are currently equal on points with leaders Chelsea, and are being rated as title contenders by many. And former Arsenal star, Henry is one of them.
The Barcelona and France striker believes the Reds and of course all other three members of the top-four, are in the title race.
"Of course Liverpool can win the league," Henry is quoted as saying in The Sun.
"They have the quality to do it, just like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
"I always follow the Premier League. If you ask me if Liverpool can do it then I say, why not?
"It will be difficult but if you look at what's happened so far, then you see that Liverpool have won the games they never used to win.
"They hadn't beaten Manchester United for a very long time and they've also won at Stamford Bridge.
"Those are the kind of games that give you the confidence that you can win the league.
"The thing that has let Liverpool down in the last few years - and the reason they haven't won the league - is that they weren't beating the top four teams. Now they are."
